OBJECTIVES: To evaluate the performance of experimental lines and named varieties of
durum across eastern Montana.
MATERIALS AND METHODS:
Location:
− Roosevelt county (Poplar)
− Sheridan county (Plentywood)
− Valley county (Nashua)
− Wibaux county (Wibaux)
RESULTS:
Due to the severe hail damage, durum wheat trial at the Sheridan County site was abandoned.
Yields at the Roosevelt County site was low because of the drought. The plots at the Valley
County site was damaged and yields were not reported. Results from Poplar and Wibaux are
shown in Table 4-5.
